ISLAMABAD: A specific section is conspiring against Saudi Arabia and ‘Islamic’ military coalition, said Tahir Ashrafi.
Addressing at an iftar on Tuesday, Ashrafi, chairman Pakistan Ulema Council said that the Saudi-led military coalition has been constituted with sole objective to annihilate menace of terrorism, extremism and sectarian violence from Muslim world, adding that the coalition does not own any intention against Iran or any other Muslim country. “Ramazan is a month of Muslim unity and solidarity and this very month emphasizes on teachings of patience and respect for humanity by making an end to all sorts of differences and distinctions,” said Ashrafi.
Muslims should raise voice for oppressed communities in accordance of the teachings of Quran and Sunnah. Islam preaches to respect all the heavenly religions and amidst prevailing confronting challenges, representatives of all the heavenly religions should get unite for interfaith harmony and interfaith dialogue. Leadership of 56 Muslim countries demonstrate their resolve and commitment for elimination of terrorism and extremism though Al-Riyadh Summit but some elements within Muslim world are harbouring conspiracies to mould outcome of Al-Riyadh Summit into sectarian differences, which is very deplorable in its consequences, said Ashrafi.
PUC condemned Manchester suicide blast and termed this terrorism bid as attack against humanity, said Ashrafi. Al-Riyadh Summit has nothing to do with ‘Islamic Military Coalition’ and there is no truth in news that General Raheel Sharif is relenting leadership of this military alliance. PUC will keep its cause continued for eradication of terrorism and extremism from the Muslim world. To express solidarity with oppressed people of Palestine and to express association with Harmain Al-Sharifain, 23rd June will be observed as ‘Protection Day for Harmain Al-Sharifain and ‘Masjid-e-Aqsa’.
Ashrafi also said that an international summit for elimination of terrorism and extremism will be held in the Netherlands after Ramazan that will be attended by representatives of different religions of the world and leadership of different countries of the world.
